IEEE Conference Record - Abstracts. PPPS-2001 Pulsed Power Plasma Science 2001. 28th IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science and 13th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference (Cat. No.01CH37255)
Abstract :
PPPS-2001 is a special technical event comprising the 28th IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS) and the 13th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference (PPC). PPPS-2001 is the culmination of a multi-year experiment by the sponsoring IEEE technical committees to evaluate how our conferences can best serve the pulsed-power and plasma sciences communities. Traditionally, our two conferences have shared many technical themes and a variable but overlapping attendance. In a time of shrinking travel budgets and ever increasing pressure on researcher´s time, the Plasma Sciences Application Committee and the Pulse Power Science and Technology Committee have committed to test the value of various combined meeting formats
