Abstract
An accurate model is presented for a coaxial probe immersed in a thick uniaxially anisotropic substrate-superstrate configuration. A spectral integral equation for the Green´s function of the structure is formulated in terms of Sommerfeld-type integrals. A solution for the current along the probe is obtained using the method of moments. The far-field radiation pattern is calculated by means of an asymptotic evaluation of Sommerfeld-type integrals. It is shown that anisotropy has a strong influence on the current distribution along the probe.<>
