Abstract :
This paper discusses a distributed Client/Server architecture for interactive multimedia applications. It begins by identifying properties of these applications and its requirements. A simple model of the system is described prior to the description of the distributed multimedia server and client architecture. A brief description of various network choices to connect the server and the client is given.
