Abstract :
In this paper the nonlinear simulation model of a turbocharged diesel engine is programmed in Matlab/Simulink, and then the simulation model is translated to real-time model by Matlab/xPC target toolbox, finally through I/O interface circuit the virtual engine and real speed governor are combined as a closed loop control system. The feedback debugging function which can reflect factually the speed governor characteristic of diesel engine is realized by the hardware-in-the-loop simulation in test-bench, so it can examine and adjust the performance of governor before installing it to the diesel engine. By using this test system, the efficiency and security of the speed governor testing work can be improved.
