Abstract
On the basis of the concepts like the least common multiple period, the phase quantum and the group phase comparison between two signals with different frequencies, this paper explores a novel principle for PLL. The application of this principle in the digital circuit innovation experiment of active hydrogen maser can simplify its frequency transformation circuits, reduce the noise brought in by those circuits and improve its performance.
