Abstract :
This work compares recently developed demultiplexing OTDM techniques that use constructive and destructive interference approaches for channels switching. The techniques under analysis are the Mach-Zehnder Interferometer (MZI) and some of those operating in the fiber non-linear region, i.e.: Non-Linear-Optical Mirror (NOLM) Terahertz Optical Asymmetric Demultiplexer (TOAD) and Four Wave Mixing (FWM). The parameters used for comparison are the switching pulse power and temporal width, and the devices physical dimensions. It is shown that the TOAD offers the most advantageous results
