Abstract :
The human factors (HF) programs and current state of progress in the two major construction projects are reviewed. These include topics of man-machine interface, fault analyses, procedures, training, and management. The HF content of the major safety reviews of the first generation Magnox power plants is described. Some aspects of the assessment of utilities´ training arrangements including some general conclusions from recent team inspections, are discussed. Developments in the appraisal of ´management of safety´ are described.<>
