Abstract :
This study presents a new design approach for the support of integrated diagnosis requirements of complex technical system, a product data management (PDM) based IETM system structure model is put forward, which can automatically analyze, recognize, localize and diagnose the system fault or failure state. Here, technologies that are required for developing the new model are classified into three groups: (1) the ITEM-oriented data modeling based on PDM, (2) the PDM based IETM generation interface, (3) the diagnosis technology in IETM system.
