  • Abstract
    Based on studying the number of micro-kernel operating system´s inter-process communication mechanisms and improved methods, this paper presents a new mechanism of inter-process communication. Through shared memory and address-mapping method to achieve inter-process communication, to reduce the number of copy times during the message passing procedure. Moreover, this mechanism provides some support to the inter-process communication of multi-processor, improved the efficiency of micro-kernel inter-process communication, to meet the current needs of micro-kernel operating system.
