Abstract
Cognitive Radio (CR) was suggested as an efficient solution for the limited spectrum resource. However, in order to minimizing the interference to the licensed primary users (PU), detecting the vacant spectrum hole fast and reliably is essential for the implementation of CR system. In this paper, we propose an improved spectrum sensing method which mixed the energy detection and cyclic feature detection together and need none prior information about PU. In this mixed sensing method, we make the low computational of the energy detection and the high sensitive advantage of the cyclic feature detection together, especially in cooperative sensing architecture. As a result, we get more reliable sensing result, shorter sensing time and reduced implementation complexities of the cooperating CR users.
