Abstract :
Because of the distribution and evolution of archeological sites have spatial characteristic, Application of geographic information system (GIS) technology in archaeology has huge potential. For the implementation of storage, management and analysis of different standard archeology data by GIS and Database technology, this paper will discuss how to constitute a Geospatial Database of Archeology based on ArcGIS Engine-Taking Xinjiang province for an example. The ultimate purpose is to increase the management level of archeology data and that lay the groundwork for later archaeological analysis.
