Abstract :
A one LRU Doppler Navigation System (DNS) developed for helicopters is described. The operational use of the AN/ASN-157 Doppler, including the velocity data available for use by other avionics is discussed. The weight, power, size and performance advantages are presented to show the improvements of the ASN-157 Doppler over previous helicopter Doppler navigation systems
