Abstract :
A class-AB CMOS power amplifier, which embodies new error amplifiers and adopts the embedded frequency compensation in a multistage topology, is presented. The simulated result has shown that the unity gain-bandwidth is 7.3 MHz. The quiescent supply current is 1.43 mA whilst the output stage delivers maximum 40 mA into a 32 Ω // 220 pF load. The amplifier exhibits -83 dB THD at a closed-loop gain of 20 dB for 1 kHz, 2 Vpp output at a 3 V supply in a 0.6 μm CMOS technology.
