Abstract :
The impact of breaker operations on ferroresonance is studied for a 1100 kV test system. The research is conducted on EMTDC. We show that ferroresonance is sensitive to the operation time of breakers, which illustrates the characteristics of chaos in ferroresonance. Therefore, it is necessary to control operation time of breakers exactly in order to restrict ferroresonance.
