Abstract :
A general theoretical analysis of GMSK in cellular mobile radio system is presented. A closed form expressions for the probability of error is derived in fast Rayleigh fading and in the presence of Gaussian noise and worst case cochannel interference. The spectrum efficiency is evaluated for some cases of interest and compared with the results presented in [1]. It is shown that the spectrum efficiency is lower under fast fading environment than that presented in [1] because higher protection carrier to interference ratio is required in fast fading.
