  • Abstract
    In the paper, we firstly introduce two important virtual plant modeling methods, dual-scale automata and L-system. Then, according to structure characteristics of rice root, we construct the morphological structure model of rice root using the combination of dual-scale automaton and L-system. In view of environment factors that affect growth of rice root, we build the growth restricted model of rice root, and combine it with the morphological structure model, achieving the dynamic growth simulation of rice root.
