Abstract
A self-tuning control scheme is proposed for tension regulation in a web transport system. A computationally efficient self-tuning method is first described. The frequency domain model of the plant is then presented. Simulations of the online tuning are presented and a comparison is made with current tension regulation methods. The paper closes with a discussion of cognizant implementation issues
