Abstract :
In this paper a radio sub-system aimed for the new generation 900 MHz Pan-European cellular radio system is presented. It is a narrowband TDMA solution. Firstly the basic characteristics of narrowband TDMA are given. Secondly, data for a contribution, DMS 90, developed by Ericsson are given along with data for a newly released CEPT proposal. In the last section system performance of narrowband TDMA is discussed.
