Abstract :
In this paper, a new approach to acoustic signals process is described. Firstly, the wavelet transform and the more classical Fourier transform approach to the acoustic signal analyzing and processing is compared. Secondly, acoustic signals of tank, helicopter, truck and human etc. are analyzed. Finally, wavelet technology is used to analyze and extract the feature of acoustic signals. The results of analysis obtained in this way appear to be satisfactory.
