Abstract
This paper describes high-frequency electrical disturbances, i.e. emissions, produced by AC drives. Only voltage source inverters are considered. Potential problems and solutions are discussed. Historically, most industrial drives have been installed without radio interference suppression filters. However, interference suppression filters are sometimes required and the filtering solution used in a 12 amp, 3-phase drive is described. The drive is the smallest frame size in a range that extends to over 1000 amps
