Abstract
The paper presents a new approach to the validation of measurement which is based on the use of statistical information. Such information is presented by procedure of the dynamic state estimation. Dynamic state estimation makes it possible to take into account the interrelation among state variables changing in time. The method for validating the measurements is based on the fact that when the variance for the measurements in the state estimation problem is set incorrectly, the estimates will be little better, and in the case of a gross error even worse than the measurements themselves. Moreover, the statistics of the voltage vector estimates will not stabilize.
