Abstract :
With a rapidly increasing wind farm capacity, the impact of wind farm integration on distribution network relay protection has caused wide concern. As one of the most commonly used wind generator, the doubly-fed induction generator based wind turbine´s integration may lead to mal-operations to distribution network over-current protections. Based on simulation results, our paper analyzes the fault features of doubly-fed induction generator and its impact on current protection; then our paper further studies the impact of wind turbine capacity and its operation mode on distribution network protections.
