Abstract :
A multiple-input and multiple-output indoor wireless optical communication system with fixed-length digital pulse interval modulation (FDPIM) has been developed in this paper. The system has 1080Mbit/s data rates with eight channels, does not need symbol synchronization and has fixed symbol length. It is also analysed the symbolic structure, bandwidth, error rate characteristics and other aspects of FDPIM system. We compared it with OOK, PPM and DPIM modulation system, the result shows that the system is batter to meet the requirements of low-cost and high data rates of the indoor wireless communication system in the following years.
