Abstract :
The increase in demand for wireless communication has raised concern for sustained operation in different electromagnetic (EM) environments. Interference caused by such EM environments is critically dependent on several factors, such as operating frequency, transmitted power of the wireless device, operating environment (responsible for signal scattering), and coupling between the wireless device and the operator. The object of this investigation is to quantify the interference effects caused by (portable) wireless handsets into other electrical devices in a realistic environment, which considers the coupling between the human body and the handset
