Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have developed rapidly for recent years, and have been widely used in various applications. But sensor nodes are vulnerable to noises to yield errors for their limited power and energy. In this paper, an efficient real-time event detection approach based on temporal-spatial correlations of sensing data is proposed. The method can eliminate the influence of errors by temporal linear compare and spatial vertical compare to the accuracy of query results, at the same time, it can satisfy real time requirements issued by the users. Experimental results validate that this approach can improve the precision and reliability of event detection.
