Abstract :
Combining the characteristic and developing trends of vehicle navigation systems, this paper describes an embedded software platform in a vehicle navigation system, discusses its current situation and development trends, and introduces WindowsCE and PersonalJava as two main platforms of the next generation vehicle multimedia system
