Abstract :
This paper presents a power loss analysis of the voltage source type soft-switching inverter which incorporates two soft-switching approaches: lossless capacitive snubber independent soft-switching operation; and an active auxiliary resonant DC link snubber. The operating principle of soft commutation is evaluated, and an inherent control scheme of each soft switching technique is described. The effectiveness of its improved soft switching scheme is proven on the basis of simulation data and experimental results
