Abstract
In this paper, the structure of a new multi-level converter is presented. This structure is very appropriate for single current supply applications. In addition to the static and the dynamic share of the voltage between the switching cells, this topology also provides a minimum stoked energy in the clamping capacitors. The comparison of this structure with the multi-level capacitor clamping converter is presented. The operation principle and the steady-state characteristics are discussed. Some simulation and experimental results are given in order to validate the theoretical analysis
