Abstract
This paper proposes a scheme of a hybrid sensorless speed and current controller based on ML4425 for brushless DC motors (BLDCM). The ML4425 provides functions necessary for starting and controlling the speed of BLDCM without position sensors of rotors; however it does not contain the function of current feedback to guarantee dynamic performance. The current feedback loop can be easily added using the proposed approach. The experimental results have substantiated the feasibility of the hybrid controller
