Abstract
The extensive applications of the power electronic converter unavoidably produce more and move harmonics, reduce the power factor and pollute the electromagnetic environment. So power factor correction and control are paid ever more and more attention in power systems. The main characteristics of average current control are summarized in this paper. The principle and circuit structure of the power factor pre-regulator based on a boost circuit are introduced. The model of the power factor pre-regulator based on the state equation and transfer function is analyzed and the computer simulation for the system is completed through MATLAB. The experiment results show that the system can achieve the power factor above 0.99 and fine dynamic performance
