Abstract :
Spatial distributions of polarization and electric field have been determined by the laser intensity modulation method (LIMM) for untreated and hexane treated low density polyethylene (LDPE) after dc and ac poling. The results show that the polarization distribution is affected by a presence of injected and localized space charge concentrations near the two surface regions of the polymer. Furthermore, this effect is particularly enhanced with hexane treatment and subsequent ac poling
