Abstract :
This paper presents some of the results from Orange/Fujitsu UMTS field trial that was carried out in the UK during 1999. In particular, the effects of mobile speed on performance of the channel estimation is examined. Results show the performance of the employed channel estimation technique to be insensitive to increases in vehicular speeds of up to 80 km/h
