Abstract :
Power control in the cdma2000 system consists of a reverse link closed loop power control (RCLPC), a reverse link outer loop power control (ROLPC), a forward link closed loop power control (FCLPC), a forward link outer loop power control (FOLPC), and an open loop power control (OLPC). In this paper, these power control algorithms are interconnected for the cdma2000 system. Then, possible combinations of power control algorithms are investigated and bit error rate (BER) results of both reverse and forward links are observed The BER results show how each power control algorithm affects performance of the overall system and other power control algorithms
