Abstract
The two-dimensional and three-dimensional numerical simulations of a scanning near-field optical microscope by integral equation methods, which are performed in our laboratory, have been reported in this paper. The guided-mode extracted boundary integral equations has been applied to the two-dimensional global-model and the conventional volume integral equation with generalized minimum residual method has been applied to the simplified three-dimensional global-model. The numerical simulations have revealed the basic characteristics of the near-field optical microscope
