Abstract
Results of numerical simulation of ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulses distortions in the Earth atmosphere using the concept of temporal moments are presented. The relative broadening, the skewness, and the kurtosis of the ultra-wideband pulses as functions of a distance from source to the point of observation are computed under standard atmospheric conditions. Generalization of the form of ultra-wideband pulse radiated by the source used earlier by Stadnik and Ermakov (1995) is also proposed, thereby allowing more wide and flexible variation of its initial shape
