  • Abstract
    This paper points out that there exists a unique optimal approximation of the autocorrelation function of an asymptotically second-order self-similar process. A simple type of autocorrelation function is used to explain the method of optimal solution and verify the long-range dependence of traffic in the view of optimal approximation
