Abstract :
Data service will play a more and more important role in mobile communication. The complex wireless environment requires data service to operate well under a wide range of conditions. Traditional single error-correction coding for data packages under some assumed worst-case conditions would produce unnecessary delay and complexity under good conditions. Enlightened by the adaptive multi-rate speech coding (AMR) speech service, this paper tries to propose a new kind of channel protection, adaptive multi-mode error-correction coding. Through selecting the most optimum coding at the current conditions automatically, system capacity is enhanced, and radio resources used efficiently
