Abstract
This paper investigates the study and development of a signalling model for real-time services in IP environments. A relatively simple but effective model and its prototype are presented, as well as a corresponding new signalling transport protocol and signalling protocols between call agents (CAs) and service agents (SAs). In the presented model, legacy PSTN voice communication as well as advanced IN (intelligent network) service can be provided through an IP network with low delay and high performance
