Abstract
We propose new simple and easily expandable schemes of serial-to-parallel and parallel-to-serial all-optical data converters using an MZI. We also experimentally demonstrated their operation. The proposed schemes have short propagation time and low control power. Integration and the use of RZ or NRZ data as serial data are possible. We expect serial-parallel data conversion for all-optical computing or all-optical data processing using these devices
