Abstract :
This paper develops an adaptive approach to iterative decoding of block turbo codes. The method developed in this paper allows the receiver to adapt to the conditions of the channel, the codes and the modulation scheme. The approach yields improved performance especially in early iterations, for a very small increase in complexity
