Abstract :
We consider orthogonal multiwavelets with appropriate preprocessing. The formula of the 2-D multiwavelet transform is given. Then we apply them in the image denoising. The GCV and SURE threshold estimation based on multiwavelet bases are established. The experiment results show multiwavelets generally outperform the scalar wavelet in image denoising
