Abstract
With RBF (radial basis functions) interpolation, the generic facial model is automatically fitted to a special facial one based on selected feature points that are extracted from the input facial images manually. The inverse multi-quadrics are chosen as the base interpolating functions. The positions of chosen feature points are compliant to MPEG-4 standard. A realistic special face can be obtained through mapping texture to the fitted model. The results and discussion are shown at the end of the paper
