Abstract :
Channel profile detection in multicarrier systems was investigated previously (see IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, GLOBECOM´99, vol.2, p.1133-8, 1999). This paper investigates new algorithms for channel profile detection and determines a new low complexity algorithm. In the case that profile detection leads to channel selection errors, robust bit loading methods are introduced that will provide for reliable transmission until more accurate channel estimation is performed
