Abstract :
Describes an ambulatory device designed to provide simple, fast and cheap means for detecting Sleep-Disordered Breathing (SDB), evaluating its evolution and assessing the efficacy of treatments. It is based on the observation that SDB are characterized by repetitive jaw motion patterns. This device is able to carry off, without attendance, long-lasting recording of the mandibular movements during sleep. The sensor was made up of two coupled resonant circuits. Its low power consumption allows it to be implemented as autonomous microsystems in a telemeasurement system
