Abstract :
A new algorithm is presented for 2-D IIR filter design in the spatial domain using 2-D impulse response Gramians. The IIR filter obtained by the proposed method is always asymptotically stable. It is shown by numerical examples that the proposed method provides very good results compared with previous methods
