Abstract :
There are cases in the communication field that the wide band CDMA signals is interfered by some narrow band signals. For the CDMA communication is a kind of spread spectrum communication, the system itself has advantage of very less sensitive to such interference. However, when the strong narrow band interference (NBI) exists, the performance of the receiver will not be very good. Adaptive LMS filter can effectively rejects the narrow band interference from the wide band signals. We bring forward the study results of narrow band interference rejection by adaptive LMS filters, discuss the factors which effect the performance of the filters, introduce a new idea to the adaptive filters for this kind of problems for improving their performance
