Abstract :
In the past, there is no strictly theoretical method to estimate the dimensions of a coplanar waveguide-fed slot antenna. This paper adopts two-port circuit transmission line theory to obtain optimal dimensions of a one port slot antenna at a given frequency. Then the short-end extension length of slot antenna is estimated to correct the initial estimated length from transmission theory. Full wave spectral domain approach is used to discuss the radiation field pattern with varied dimensions of slot antenna
