Abstract
The paper presents the system configuration and principle of a frequency conversion speed-regulation system controlled by an Intel 80C196 microprocessor. How to apply the PWM technique to a GTO inverter system is explained in detail. The system program block diagram is given. The experimental results are described and the experimental waveforms of output voltage and current are shown where the device is used to driven a 2.2-kW induction motor
