Abstract :
Due to many reasons, for example, customer´s preference of green energy resources, many distributed generators (DGs) and energy storage systems (DESSs) are becoming to be installed in demand side. On the other hand, by using DGs and DESSs, power quality and power supply reliability can be reinforced, and unbundled power quality services in demand side can be realized by which customers can select power quality according to their demand objectives. Therefore, several proposals of new type power delivery systems for realizing the above are published. This paper introduces one of these new type power delivery systems named FRIENDS (flexible, reliable and intelligent electrical energy delivery system). A concepts of FRIENDS, roles and installation policy of QCC (quality control center) and the optimal network configuration method of FRIENDS are illustrated
