Abstract :
The paper presents a new method to control multiphase DC-DC converters for supplying new generation microprocessors (VRM) requiring higher currents at lower voltages. These requirements are achieved by paralleling converter modules, and phase-shifting their drive signals (interleaving technique). The proposed technique controls the turn-on of each phase in order to reduce overshoot and undershoot of the output regulated voltage improving the performances of interleaving technique in transient current changes
